Interim
assignments
Organisations need
interim support for several reasons - to fill a
skills gap, to handle a specific project or to
provide a short-term boost to in-house resources.
Typically assignments last from two to six months.
Examples of interim projects I've undertaken
include:
Prudential.
Internal communications business partner for HR and
Finance Functions. Projects covered included
all-employee and top management bonus and reward
communications; re-launch of flexible benefits
scheme; cost control and strategic sourcing
communications campaign.
Lex AutoLogistics.
Worked closely with HR director through downsizing,
new plant announcements, transfer of key contract
and departure of MD. Key project objectives to
develop effective communication framework and
establish ownership of channels and content achieved
within four months.
Norwich Union Life.
Worked as internal communications business partner
with 150 strong HR team. The main focus of the
assignment was to tailor and implement a new
communication strategy to support a major change
programme at corporate level, as well as handling
two major surveys and support for a diversity
programme.
Aviva UK Life.
Managed policyholder strategy and communications for
6 million customers on a complex multi-billion pound
financial transaction. Key aspects of the
marketing communications programme included
developing and managing content for web, customer
call centres and mailings. The project achieved 84%
positive take up by customers and delivered access
to £650 million of capital for shareholders.
The programme won a Marketing Society award for
excellence in marketing teamwork.
